of the <strong>Arouca Geopark <\/strong>than on foot. The Arouca Geopark comprises a network of <a href=\"https:\/\/aroucageopark.pt\/percursos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">14 short-distance walking trails (PR)<\/a> that have played an important role in promoting the natural and cultural wealth of this UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. During the 11 of the 14 walking trails, you can easily access 18 of the geosites in this territory, which are considered geotourism walking trails. <strong>The 14 PRs cross the entire Mining Region, <strong>crosses several municipalities <\/strong>in the central\/northern region of Portugal. The GR60 \u2013 Grand Route of the Magic Mountains is fully signposted in accordance with the regulations of the Portuguese Camping and Mountaineering Federation. Crossing an area that includes 4 Special Conservation Areas of the Natura 2000 Network and a UNESCO Global Geopark, the GR60&#8217;s main attractions are nature, landscapes, biodiversity, by the <em>Centro Sol Nascente <\/em>Youth Association, following on from other work related to trails, sports and the promotion of local heritage. There are <strong>10 trails that go through all the parishes of the municipality of Castelo de Paiva<\/strong>, totaling <strong>120 km<\/strong>, where you can discover several natural and historical points of interest. Volunteers from all over the municipality, with extensive knowledge of the area, are part of this project. <strong>connects Choupal das Concas beach (Pedorido) and the centre of Santa Maria de Sardoura<\/strong>, along the south bank of the Douro River, on a route that includes wooden walkways, dirt tracks Federation <\/em>and the <em>FPC <\/em>\u2013 <em>Portuguese Cycling Federation<\/em>. It is a <strong>circular route <\/strong>that runs along the Gralheira massifs (Freita, Arada and Arestal mountains) and Montemuro, between the Douro and Vouga rivers. It <strong>crosses the geographical area of \u200b\u200b7 municipalities <\/strong>in the center\/north of Portugal \u2013 Arouca, Castelo de Paiva, Castro Daire, Cinf\u00e3es, S\u00e3o Pedro do Sul, Sever do Vouga and Vale de Cambra &#8211; as well as 4 sites of the Natura 2000 Network \u2013 Freita and Arada mountains, Montemuro mountains, Paiva river and Vouga river, and 1 <em>UNESCO <\/em>Global Geopark \u2013 the <em>Arouca Geopark<\/em>.
